Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to receive an extended presentation on 27 August, giving players a closer look at one of the most anticipated video games ever made. The footage is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Netflix several hours before reaching YouTube and other free video platforms.

Rockstar Games has already shown plenty of Vice City, Jason and Lucia, but important details remain unclear. The upcoming presentation may answer some of these questions, although there is no guarantee every topic will receive attention.

1. Will GTA 6 offer a 60fps mode?

The trailers and screenshots released so far show an exceptionally detailed game, prompting questions about performance on current-generation consoles. The footage appears to run at 30 frames per second, but that does not confirm that 30fps will be the only option in the finished game.

A PlayStation 5 Pro version could potentially offer a 40fps or 60fps setting, though Rockstar has not confirmed any performance modes.

2. Is a first-person view included?

GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 both introduced optional first-person perspectives, and the feature also remains available in GTA Online. So far, however, every official glimpse of GTA 6 has used a third-person camera.

A first-person mode would give players another way to experience the driving, shooting and exploration, but its return has not been announced.

3. How can players switch between Jason and Lucia?

The relationship between the two protagonists is central to GTA 6, yet Rockstar has not explained whether players can freely change characters during play. Leaked development footage appeared to suggest a system similar to the protagonist switching in GTA 5, although that may not reflect the final game.

The extended footage could clarify whether swapping is available at any time, restricted by distance or unlocked through story progression.

4. Will character statistics return?

GTA: San Andreas, GTA 5 and GTA Online included upgradeable attributes such as strength, stamina and shooting ability. These systems gave players a sense that their characters were developing during the game.

It remains unknown whether GTA 6 will bring back similar RPG-style progression for Jason and Lucia.

5. What will the radio stations be like?

Rockstar has not officially confirmed the radio lineup, but a recent image shows Jason wearing a V-Rock shirt. V-Rock featured in Vice City and Vice City Stories, while leaked gameplay appeared to use placeholder stations from GTA 5.

These clues suggest that radio will remain part of the world. A curated in-game soundtrack would also preserve the atmosphere associated with the series, rather than replacing it with direct music streaming integration.

6. Can players carry every weapon?

Modern entries, particularly GTA Online, allow players to carry a very broad arsenal. GTA 6 may take a more grounded approach by limiting what can be carried at once.

Recently announced pre-order bonuses mention weapon lockers in some vehicles. That detail could indicate that spare firearms must be stored in a car, echoing the weapon-carrying approach used in Red Dead Redemption 2.

7. How large is the map?

The new version of Vice City already appears expansive, and official trailers have shown more than the city itself. Fans have also attempted to reconstruct the map using released material and leaked gameplay, but its practical scale is still difficult to judge.

An extended gameplay sequence could show how long journeys take, how densely the world is filled and how much of the wider region is available to explore. Players considering a dedicated driving simulator may appreciate that sense of scale, even though the two experiences are very different.

8. Is there a redesigned wanted system?

Police pursuits have changed across the series. GTA 5 introduced one of the more sophisticated wanted systems, although its behaviour could still feel noticeably game-like.

Because escaping law enforcement is such a familiar part of Grand Theft Auto, the presentation may reveal how Rockstar has refined police searches, pursuits and escape routes in the new game.

9. Will fast travel be available?

Earlier games offered limited alternatives to long journeys, including taxis in the PlayStation 2-era titles. GTA Online has also provided fast travel to selected locations from a mansion.

The series has generally avoided the map-based fast travel systems common in other open-world games. However, the size of GTA 6 could make a more modern option useful. Whether that would improve the experience or undermine the pleasure of travelling through the world is likely to be debated.

10. How will the $100 edition content work?

The $100 edition includes exclusive shops, but the practical effect of that bonus content has not been explained. Players want to know whether owners of other editions will still see those locations with restricted access, or whether the shops will be absent entirely.

Edition-specific content may not be a major focus of a gameplay presentation, but clarification would help buyers understand what separates the versions before making a purchase. What could the extended presentation reveal?

The presentation may provide clearer information about performance, character switching, exploration, combat, radio and police pursuits. Until Rockstar confirms the details, these remain open questions rather than promised features.
