Grand Theft Auto 6 has appeared in an unexpected place: an episode of South Park, known as South America during its 29th season. The brief crossover offers a new look at Rockstar’s open-world crime game ahead of its scheduled November 19 release.

The surprise footage aired on Comedy Central during the episode “Guinea Pig on a Stick”. It runs for roughly 25 seconds, but one detail immediately stands out: dogs can defecate in the game, and players can apparently pick up the waste and throw it at other characters during a fight.

What the new GTA 6 clip shows

The footage confirms a remarkably specific piece of environmental interaction. Dogs in Vice City do more than populate the streets; they can leave droppings behind, which can then become an improvised weapon. It is an absurd detail, but also another example of the small systems Rockstar builds into its open worlds.

Animal behaviour of this kind is not entirely new for the studio. Horses could relieve themselves in Red Dead Redemption 2, making canine toilet habits in GTA 6 less unexpected than the way this reveal was presented.

An unusual promotional appearance

Viewers received no advance warning that the episode would include GTA 6 footage. The characters in South Park react with excitement to what they see, while Rockstar receives a special thank-you credit at the end of the episode.

For readers who follow gaming hardware as closely as game announcements, this is a reminder that unusual reveals can generate plenty of discussion beyond traditional trailers. RETROCADE’s arcade news and features cover that wider gaming conversation, while an arcade video can be a useful way to see how games present their worlds in motion.

How large is the game?

The source material also references a reported 210 GB installation size for GTA 6. Whether dog-poop models make any meaningful contribution to that figure is impossible to say, but the gag highlights just how granular the game’s world appears to be.

Rockstar has not indicated how much development effort went into modelling this particular feature. For now, the clip leaves players with one confirmed oddity: in Vice City, a dog’s mess may be more than scenery.
