Xbox Game Pass loses LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga this month
Xbox Game Pass is removing several notable games on 31 October 2026, including LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The second wave of departures is smaller than the first, but it includes several worthwhile adventures.

Released in 2022, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga retells all nine main Star Wars films through the series’ playful LEGO formula. Its campaign can also be enjoyed cooperatively, making it a strong choice for a two-player session before it leaves the service.

For players who enjoy accessible couch co-op and licensed action games, the title is an especially appealing Game Pass pick. It is also a useful reminder that subscription libraries change regularly, so our arcade news coverage is worth following for more gaming updates.

Two Double Fine adventure games are also departing: Day of the Tentacle Remastered and Full Throttle Remastered. Double Fine has recently become independent again, adding extra interest to these removals.
The remaining games scheduled to leave on Halloween are:
- Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
- Dead Static Drive
- Deep Rock Galactic
- Wartales
- Wildgate
Players looking to recreate a shared gaming setup at home can browse RETROCADE’s arcade machines or consider a compact bartop arcade for smaller spaces.
The first October Game Pass removals

The first group of October departures took place on 15 October. The most prominent loss was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a turn-based role-playing game that was celebrated as a Game of the Year favourite last year.
- A Plague Tale: Requiem
- Crime Scene Cleaner
- Donut County
- Evil West
- Nova Roma
- Pacific Drive
- Superball
- The Casting of Frank Stone

What the changes mean for Game Pass
Game Pass is undergoing a period of change as Xbox CEO Asha Sharma works to reset the service’s direction. An internal memo obtained earlier in October said that Microsoft’s Game Pass strategy had sent Xbox into “freefall”. The stated aim of the ongoing changes is to improve value for players without placing an unsustainable drain on company resources.
If you prefer owning a dedicated gaming setup rather than relying on a changing catalogue, RETROCADE’s arcade machine buying guide covers the key considerations before choosing a cabinet. For a more hands-on project, DIY arcade kits offer another route.
