Looking for a windup Inkay in Pokémon Pokopia? A free doll is hidden in a deep-sea cave in Bubbly Basin, providing a reliable alternative to waiting for the daily shop rotation.

Where to find the windup Inkay

The windup Inkay is inside a cave behind the pavilion where you obtain Barboach’s seashell seat. From Bubbly Basin’s town, travel north. Buildings will appear on your right, while the road ahead drops into deep ocean.

Enter the water and descend into the depths. Follow the submerged road west until you reach the pavilion.

Reach the hidden cave

Continue along the road, then turn left when you spot brick blocks built into the wall. Go into the tunnel and keep moving until you reach its centre.

Several rocks block the route and must be cleared with Rock Smash. Beyond them is another room sealed by sand. It contains several grubby pearls, so it is worth exploring if you need more of that item.

Enter the room behind the breakable rocks. The windup Inkay is waiting there inside a red Poké Ball.

What the windup Inkay is used for

You need a windup Inkay to build the Muddy Playtime habitat. Its other required components are floating logs, muddy water and a towel rack.

If you do not take the guaranteed doll from the cave, other possibilities remain. A windup Inkay can appear when you appraise large lost sunken relics, or through Trade specialty Pokémon that sell items at random. The cave is the quickest way to avoid that uncertainty.
