With IAAPA 2023 just over a week away, Wahlap has revealed the arcade and redemption games it plans to display at booth 202. The event is the world’s largest trade show for out-of-home entertainment, making it an important showcase for new commercial machines.
Asphalt Moto Blitz DX
Wahlap’s headline attraction will be Asphalt Moto Blitz DX, the motorcycle racing game previously announced for the amusement market. In the United States, distribution is also being handled via LAI Games. With the title appearing at another booth as well, visitors may have more than one opportunity to try it if queues build up. It will be interesting to see how it compares with rival motorcycle racers such as Super Bikes 3.

Prize Popper
Prize Popper is Wahlap’s new merchandiser redemption game. Its presentation appears similar to Sega’s Shoot It Win It. In that game, players fire cork projectiles at coloured targets, attempting to knock a prize from a shelf. Wahlap’s machine seems to use the same general concept, but with a different visual package. The relationship between the two games is not confirmed.
Thunderbolt Shot
Thunderbolt Shot is a competitive “battle ball” game already available in parts of Asia. It had not been known as a local release at the time of this announcement. Players control miniature ball launchers and fire at the opposing side’s coloured balls. The scoring system is not yet clear from the available information, so a hands-on session will be needed to understand how matches are decided.
More games and machines
Wahlap will also bring Alley Oop Blitz, a new video basketball game, along with a selection of crane machines. The latter can be seen in the second half of the supplied video.
