Two Free PC Games Available for a Limited Time

The Epic Games Store has two free PC games on offer for a short window: a disturbing rubber-hose animation horror adventure and a retro-futurist spy puzzle game. Australian players can claim both at no cost before the promotion ends.

For more gaming news, explore RETROCADE’s Arcade Blog, or browse the Arcade Videos collection for more screen-based gaming content.

Bad Cheese

Bad Cheese borrows the rubber-hose animation style associated with cartoons from the 1920s, but its tone is far removed from cheerful vintage animation. This is psychological horror, complete with unsettling and grotesque character designs.

You play as a mouse left at home for the weekend while the rest of the family is away. The empty house becomes the setting for exploration, cleaning and encounters with demons that have taken up residence inside. It is an unusual combination of domestic chores and supernatural danger.

Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise

Agent A takes a very different approach. It is a stylish, retro-futuristic puzzle adventure about infiltrating an enemy spy’s hideout, where the environment is packed with mechanisms, clues and problems to solve.

Careful observation is essential, since useful clues are spread throughout the hideout. The game has also attracted nearly 2,000 “Overwhelmingly Positive” player reviews on Steam.

How long are the games free?

To claim either title, sign in to the Epic Games Store and add it to your account. The offer runs until 11 a.m. EDT on Thursday, 22 October. Australian readers should check the equivalent local time before the deadline, as the stated cutoff is given in US Eastern time.

Once claimed, the games are a handy fit for a compact PC gaming setup. If you are planning a dedicated space at home, RETROCADE’s arcade machine buying guide can help with choosing suitable hardware, while bartop arcades offer a smaller footprint.
