Where to Find the Thunderbird Drift Zone in Forza Horizon 6

The Thunderbird Drift Zone takes an off-road route past Hotel Thunderbird in Forza Horizon 6. Its gravel surface, long straights and widely spaced corners make reaching the top score a serious challenge, particularly if you are still learning how to control a drift.

With a suitable car, the right tune and some practice, earning three stars is achievable. Here is the route, the score targets and a setup that can make the challenge easier.

Thunderbird Drift Zone location

You will find the Thunderbird Drift Zone in the top-left corner of the Takashiro region, the second-highest region on the Forza Horizon 6 map.

Look for the orange off-road roads. The zone sits on the route heading north towards the westernmost off-road path in the Sotoyama region. Hotel Thunderbird is the clearest landmark: it is a rectangular white building built into the hillside and becomes visible as you approach.

Thunderbird Drift Zone star requirements

The course uses the standard three-star scoring system:

• One star: 65,000 points
• Two stars: 100,000 points
• Three stars: 130,000 points

The 130,000-point target may look intimidating because the gravel route spreads its turns apart. Rather than waiting for each corner, keep the car sliding from one side of the road to the other, including along the straight sections.

The zone appears to have generous boundaries, so you can carry a drift beyond the gravel track and continue building your score. Do not run too far off the route, though, or the attempt will end.

Recommended car and tune

A capable car and drift tune are essential here. One setup that worked well was the Honda Acty fitted with the “Godlike Drifting” tune created by user Kenpai TDG.

The tune’s share code is 542 828 618. Use it as a starting point if your current car struggles to maintain a slide across the long gravel straights.

Thunderbird 2 daily challenge

If you are completing the Thunderbird 2 daily challenge, you do not need the full three-star result. The requirement is two stars, so aim for 100,000 points and focus on keeping the car drifting through the straight sections.
