Paris’s Japan Expo brings together fans of Japanese popular culture, games, anime and manga each year. The event is regarded as the largest gathering of its kind outside Japan, with more than 250,000 visitors attending in 2019.
Cosplay is a major part of the convention, and this selection showcases 19 striking character interpretations photographed by Mineralblu. The lineup spans classic and contemporary games, anime, comics and film, from Resident Evil 2 and Dark Souls 3 to One Piece, Gachiakuta and Cyberpunk 2077. The event was also documented on video.
