The upcoming The Legend of Zelda film has expanded its cast, with new details confirming the actors playing Ganondorf and Impa. The late Sam Neill is also reported to appear in the movie, although his character has not been identified.
New casting details for the Zelda film
Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Bo Bragason remain attached as Link and Zelda. Uli Latukefu, known for Young Rock, is set to play the series antagonist Ganondorf. Unlike the actors playing the central heroes, Latukefu has not yet been shown in costume.
Dichen Lachman, who appeared in Severance, will portray Impa, Zelda’s Sheik bodyguard. Fans had already speculated about Lachman’s involvement after she was seen in leaked set photographs. Deadline reported the latest casting information.
Yvonne Strahovski and Sam Neill are also part of the cast, but their characters remain undisclosed. Strahovski, known for Dexter and Mass Effect, is reportedly playing a queen of some kind.
Sam Neill’s reported final performances
For Neill, the film is expected to be one of his final on-screen performances. The Jurassic Park star died last month, according to the supplied casting report.
A possible role for Neill is the King of Hyrule, though that remains speculation. His character will not be confirmed until more information is released or the film reaches cinemas on April 30, 2027.
