Pokémon Pokopia uses time-limited events to make certain Pokémon available for recruitment. Players normally need to be active during the relevant event window, or change the Nintendo Switch 2’s internal clock to revisit an earlier date.
A player has now identified a more involved workaround that uses existing features in Pokopia. It can make several event-related Pokémon available without altering the console’s time settings or waiting for the events to return.
Redditor ArcadiaCitizen_ discovered the method by combining cloud islands, photography and the game’s 3D printer system.
How the Pokopia event workaround works
First, players need the Mysterious Goggles. This item provides access to cloud islands, including areas created by other players. Once on a cloud island, players can take photographs of objects and use the 3D printer found in Pokémon Centers to reproduce many items.
Printing requires the appropriate amount of Pokémetal or Rare Pokémetal. One cloud island created by Game Freak and Koei Tecmo contains a broad selection of Pokopia items, including objects linked to the habitats of Pokémon that normally appear during limited-time events.
Recreating those habitat-specific items can make it possible to recruit the Jumpluff family, Sableye and Jirachi outside their usual event periods. The cloud island code used in the discovery is 6DXL PD6F.

- A Nintendo Switch Online membership, because the required online features are involved.
- Enough Pokémetal or Rare Pokémetal to use the 3D printer.

A response to Pokopia’s limited windows
When Pokémon Pokopia launched in March earlier this year, its limited recruitment periods attracted criticism. Many fans had not yet obtained a Switch 2 and were concerned they might miss an event before securing the console.
This discovery suggests that players now have more than one way to obtain some of the affected Pokémon. Whether these methods were deliberately included by the developers or simply emerged from the interaction between existing systems remains unclear.
