The Pokémon World Championships concluded with new announcements spanning Pokémon GO, the Trading Card Game, Pokémon Wild Card and Pokémon Champions. Pokémon GO
Pokémon GO will introduce Mega Evolution Pokémon to official competitive play. The change begins with the GO Fest Mega Finale event on September 5.

Pokémon Trading Card Game
The Pokémon Trading Card Game will add cards featuring several Mega Evolutions introduced in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, including the Z Mega Evolutions from the Mega Dimension downloadable content.
The Legendary Beasts will also appear in the upcoming card content. A new card type or card called ex star was teased, although no further details were provided.
Pokémon Wild Card
The Pokémon Company revealed Pokémon Wild Card, a new animated film that appears to draw heavily from the Trading Card Game. Mimikyu features in the teaser.
The film will be the first Pokémon movie in seven years and is scheduled for release in 2027.
Pokémon Champions
A new trailer for Pokémon Champions previewed additional Pokémon joining the battle simulator. Z Mega Evolutions for Absol and Lucario were shown alongside Mega Heatran.

Pokémon World Championships 2027
The closing presentation confirmed that the 2027 World Championships will be held in Singapore from August 13 to 15.
There was no new trailer for Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves. The two Switch 2 role-playing games have not received further updates since their announcement on Pokémon Day in February, so more information will have to wait until closer to their planned release next year.
