Pokémon TCG Pocket is adding a new way to revisit older expansions, with Deluxe Pack: Mega guaranteeing a Pokémon ex in every pack.

What Deluxe Pack: Mega includes
The new digital card set will bring back cards from previous expansions, including July’s Ruler of the Skies. It will contain a reissue of every four-diamond card from those earlier releases, giving collectors another opportunity to complete older collections.
Most importantly, each Deluxe Pack: Mega opening guarantees at least one Pokémon ex. The set also features fresh artwork and a selection of foil cards, including new backdrop art featuring Mega Charizard X.

Here is a look at some of the cards and artwork revealed for the set.

New features arrive with the update
The wider update will introduce several changes towards the end of October. The additions and removals announced so far include:
- Community decks: Players will be able to search for decks created by other players. Anyone who owns all the required cards can build those decks themselves.
- Rentable decks: Decks based on the latest booster packs can be rented for solo and versus battles. Rented decks can be used an unlimited number of times.
- Theme deck changes: Theme deck lists and deck missions are being discontinued.
- Reworked step-up battles: The current step-up battles will end, removing access to their first-time rewards and battle tasks. A new solo-battle system will replace them.
- Poké Gold offers: Release Celebration: Poké Gold deals are also being removed.
Further information will be released closer to the update. For players planning their next collection project, RETROCADE’s arcade news and gaming coverage offers more related reading, while the arcade machine buying guide can help with choosing a dedicated gaming setup.
Release time
Deluxe Pack: Mega is scheduled to launch on 29 September at 9 p.m. EDT. That corresponds to the following morning in Australia, depending on the local daylight-saving time zone. The update’s broader feature changes are expected towards the end of October.
