Pokémon Pokopia update 2.0.0 expands Ditto’s abilities, adds a major new region for Expansion Pass owners and delivers a long list of practical improvements for everyday play.

The headline feature is Dive, which lets Ditto move freely underwater. Players with the Pokopia Expansion Pass can also explore Bubbly Basin, a new region containing its own storyline and additional Pokémon.

Storage, travel and town management have also received useful attention. The new portal pod works as a shared chest that remains accessible across regions, while several smaller changes reduce unnecessary trips and menu friction. These additions should appeal to players who enjoy detailed building and customisation, much like the careful planning involved with an well-planned arcade machine setup.

Quality-of-life improvements

  • When Ditto sucks up liquid, briefly pressing the move button can hold the liquid in Ditto’s mouth without removing it from the environment.

  • Smearguru can learn patterns from photos saved in References.
  • Paint balloons now make the target item easier to see.
  • More treasure can be found with the Dowsing Machine on Dream Islands.
  • Pokémon companions can follow the player while using Surf, Glide, Rollout or Magnet Rise.

  • Rollout can break certain natural objects, including large boulders.
  • Surf can be activated on land by pressing its button while holding the focus button.

A broader update for builders

The new exploration tools are the most visible addition, but the smaller changes should make town design and daily resource management considerably easier.
