Pokémon Pokopia is preparing for a water-themed event featuring Feebas and Milotic. Players can add both Pokémon to their Pokédex by creating a suitable habitat, while a limited-time activity lets them exchange Feebas Prism Scales for seasonal decorations and other rewards.
The event arrives as the first part of a three-part expansion pass, giving players a reason to return to the cosy world-building game nearly five months after launch. Pokémon Pokopia has kept players busy designing habitats for Pokémon and rebuilding areas across its map, but those who feel they have completed the main experience will soon have new places to explore.
Bubbly Basin expansion launches on 5 August
The first expansion, Bubbly Basin, launches on 5 August alongside a free update. After installing the update, players can learn the Dive move. Dive allows them to breathe underwater and construct beneath the surface, opening up new spaces for decoration.
Owners of the downloadable content will gain access to Bubbly Basin, a new town, and the deep sea. This darker underwater region is filled with sea creatures and adds another area to investigate and customise.
The expansion also introduces furniture collections designed for underwater decorating and suited to the new town. Players who do not purchase the DLC immediately can still collect free water-themed furniture through the upcoming Fetch Scales for Feebas event.

How to start Fetch Scales for Feebas
Fetch Scales for Feebas is available to all players. Access to Bubbly Basin or Cloud Islands is not required. To begin, speak with Feebas when it appears in front of a completed Pokémon Center.
Feebas will ask players to find Prism Scales. Handing over the scales awards furniture and decorations, including the seasonal set needed to build the habitat that brings Feebas and Milotic to the island.
Event dates and early access
The event runs from 13 August at 5:00 a.m. local time until 28 August at 4:59 a.m. local time. Once the event files have been added through a patch, players can use time travel to access the event early.
