Garena, the Singapore-based developer and publisher known for Free Fire, has announced Palworld Online, a reimagined MMO created in collaboration with Pocketpair. The game is intended to bring the core of the PC survival and creature-collection experience to Android and iOS later in 2026.

The announcement was accompanied by a Gematsu report and a Garena press release. Garena says the mobile MMO will launch within four months of the announcement, meaning further details and a release are expected before the end of 2026.

Port, spin-off or something in between?

The announcement leaves the project’s exact identity unclear. No promotional artwork or trailer has been released, and the available description does not establish whether Palworld Online is a wholly new game, a mobile adaptation or a project that sits between those two approaches.

Garena describes the game as a reimagining of the original PC title’s depth, freedom and scale for mobile devices. That wording suggests a substantial new experience. At the same time, the company says the developers are preserving the immersion and freedom associated with Palworld while optimising the game for mobile play, language that could also point towards a carefully adapted version of the PC game.

The planned content adds to the ambiguity. Palworld Online is set to include an original story, unique lore and new side stories made specifically for this mobile version. The emphasis on a distinct version, alongside the mobile-focused development, suggests a hybrid approach—but the available information is not enough to confirm how closely it will match the existing game.

More information should arrive soon

With fewer than five months remaining in 2026 and a launch promised within four months, more information should emerge shortly. Until Garena or Pocketpair reveals gameplay, screenshots or a precise release date, the scope of Palworld Online remains open to interpretation.
