MotoGP VR, the motorcycle racing attraction from Raw Thrills, is now shipping to arcades worldwide after appearing at industry events and on test locations.
The title was first spotted in testing in September 2022, followed by appearances at IAAPA 2022, EAG 2023 and Amusement Expo 2023. After that preview period, venues that placed orders are now receiving their machines, making July 2023 its release window.
A substantial update to the 2015 arcade racer
Developed by Play Mechanix and produced by Raw Thrills, the original MotoGP arcade game arrived in 2015. This new release is described as a major update rather than a sequel.
The key addition is the HP Reverb G2 headset, allowing riders to look around their virtual racing environments. The package also refreshes the visuals, updates 10 circuits and introduces 12 new bikes and riders intended to reflect the sport’s current line-up. The roster includes Fabio Quartararo, the 2021 MotoGP World Champion.
Cabinet details and multiplayer support
The cabinet is produced in red, green, blue or yellow. Operators and buyers should note that the colour cannot be selected, so the unit supplied will depend on what is allocated through the distributor.

Indicative arcade pricing
Final pricing depends on the distributor, but reported figures put the machine at approximately $18,000 each. That figure should be treated as an indication rather than a fixed retail price.
The earlier non-VR game was no longer in production at the time of release, while its second-hand value was not established.
