Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has received a Free-for-All update that may prevent players from completing every challenge. The revised match limit is now lower than the kill streak requirement for the mode’s nuke challenge.

A 25-kill limit clashes with a 30-kill challenge

The update makes two notable changes to Free-for-All: parties are limited to two players, while the match score limit has been reduced to 25 kills.

That creates a direct problem for the Calling Card challenge tied to the mode. Players must earn a nuke kill streak in a Free-for-All match, but doing so requires 30 consecutive kills. With the match ending at 25 kills, the required achievement cannot currently be reached through normal play.

For completionists, this means 100% progress may be temporarily out of reach. The developers would need to restore the previous score limit or change the challenge requirements before the task can be completed again.

Live-service games can change quickly, so players may still see a fix early in the game’s life. At present, however, it is unclear whether the Free-for-All limit will be reversed or whether the nuke requirement will be revised.

Modern Warfare 4’s multiplayer is already under scrutiny

The Free-for-All issue arrives while the new DMZ mode is also attracting criticism. The extraction shooter was presented as a slower, more tactical experience, but early complaints have focused on fast player-versus-player encounters, difficult solo sessions and bugs affecting enemy AI and game balance.
