Spoilers ahead. The Modern Warfare 4 campaign contains 16 missions, moving between South Korea, North Korea, the United States, France and India. This guide lists every mission and its location.

The campaign is designed as a compact, high-intensity action story, with set pieces including a battle in a fictional South Korean city, a Paris pursuit and an escape from a North Korean prison. If you are checking your progress, the complete mission order is below.

Like other blockbuster-style military shooters, Modern Warfare 4 prioritises momentum over a lengthy campaign. Players alternate between two connected storylines before they converge.

How the Modern Warfare 4 campaign is structured

One storyline follows Sierra-1, a combined South Korean and American unit resisting the North Korean invasion. The other takes place several days earlier and follows Captain Price as he travels internationally in search of “The Archer”, a Russian defence minister portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen.

The missions cover a wide range of scenarios. They include a John Wick-inspired New York nightclub sequence, a search for a North Korean defector in an isolated village, a snowy open area focused on survival and an assault intended to stop a nuclear reactor from exploding.

When does the campaign end?

The first set of credits appears after mission 15, Decapitation. A final, shorter mission called Greater Good follows, with the full credits rolling afterwards.
