Konami is taking Metal Gear Solid beyond the battlefield with a feline-focused collaboration at CatCon 2026. The publisher will appear alongside viral cat personality One Eared Uno for a limited merchandise release.
Stealth-themed cat products arrive at CatCon
On October 10 and 11, visitors to CatCon can browse exclusive pet products inspired by the long-running stealth series. The range includes scratch boxes based on the franchise’s famous cardboard stealth box, plus plush toys and cat collars drawing on Peace Walker and Guns of the Patriots.
The promotion also supports the launch of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, which is scheduled for August 27. Fans attending the convention will be able to find the feline merchandise at the Konami booth and through OKS Gear Shop during the event.
Why collectors may want to act quickly
These items are not planned as a broad, ongoing release. Their availability is limited to CatCon and OKS Gear Shop while the convention is running, making them difficult to track down once the event ends.
That scarcity could also attract resellers. Anyone hoping to buy the range later may face prices well above the original retail cost if the products become sought-after collectibles.
Meet One Eared Uno at the Konami booth
One Eared Uno will make a personal appearance for fans at the Konami CatCon booth on October 10 at 2 p.m. PT. The cat influencer has built an audience of 3 million TikTok followers, more than 200,000 followers across Facebook and Instagram, and 350,000 YouTube subscribers.
CatCon also supports feline welfare
The collaboration gives video-game fans another reason to visit CatCon, but the convention’s focus extends beyond merchandise. The event showcases thousands of cat products and helps homeless cats find new homes.
At last year’s CatCon, 1,500 cats were adopted and $400,000 was raised for feline charities supporting cats in need. For Australian collectors planning around the international event, the limited release combines game memorabilia with a charity-minded convention experience.
