Arcade Monsters has expanded with its second Californian venue, described as the company’s largest yet. The 28,000-square-foot site is primarily an arcade, with a full-size roller rink and mini-bowling also available. Its collection spans the 1980s through to contemporary games and includes a substantial selection of Japanese imports.
Macy’s and PAC-MAN pop-up — New York City
Bandai Namco continued its recent pop-up arcade activity with a PAC-MAN installation at Macy’s in New York City, marking PAC-MAN’s 45th anniversary. As with most temporary venues, the event was short-lived, but a tour captured the set-up while it was operating.

Other attractions include LAI Games’ Ubisoft All-Star VR and the United Kingdom’s first installation of Bay Tek’s ICEE Slush Rush.
Continue Arcades #3 — Swansea, Wales
Continue Arcades has opened its third venue and first outside southern England in Swansea. The chain uses a flat-fee free-play model and has recently highlighted its retro console lounge alongside its arcade machines. The line-up includes Transformers Human Alliance, Luigi’s Mansion Arcade, H2Overdrive, Stern’s The Mandalorian and Avengers pinball machines.
Game On Arcade — Huntingdon, England
Game On Arcade opened in Huntingdon on 27 December, but has released limited information about its interior and specific machine list. Promotional material identifies racing, air hockey, boxing, basketball and prize games among the attractions.
Game Station — Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona’s Game Station is a large bar arcade focused mainly on newer equipment rather than the small, retro-led format seen at some other Spanish venues. LOG Lot Of Games — Rome, Italy

- A new arcade opened at Canal Lanes in Southampton, while Hollywood Bowl reported strong revenue growth.

- A South Shields arcade in the United Kingdom was destroyed by fire.

Silk Hat Akihabara — Tokyo, Japan
Following the closure of a well-known GiGO site in Akihabara, the prominent corner building has reopened as Silk Hat. The basement remains dedicated to Mobile Suit Gundam EXVS, three floors house crane games and purikura, and another level is devoted to trading card games. Rhythm games are the major focus, with floors five, six and seven including a dedicated BEMANI Studio for Konami titles.

PLAYit — Melbourne, Australia
PLAYit has opened at Melbourne’s Southgate as the reported first venue in a planned chain. The mix covers prize games and video titles, with rhythm players catered for by maimai DX and Sound Voltex. Larger attractions include Godzilla Kaiju Wars VR and Neon Rush, alongside other machines.

- A Round1 opening in Japan was delayed after a bear sighting; the wider region had experienced several bear attacks and soldiers were reportedly called in to help manage the problem.
