LEGO is marking 25 years since Chris Columbus’ Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone film with a detailed Ministry of Magic collectors’ set. The build contains 3,491 pieces and includes 14 minifigures.
The Harry Potter story began with the 1997 publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, known as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in the United States when it was published there a year later. The first film adaptation followed in 2001.
For collectors who enjoy display-focused builds, the set offers a cross-section of the Ministry of Magic’s underground London offices. Its upper section recreates the street entrance, including a Tube station entrance and the bright red telephone box used to access the Ministry.
What is included in the LEGO Ministry of Magic set?
The interior includes several recognisable locations and hidden details from the books and films. Builders can explore Arthur Weasley’s office, Dolores Umbridge’s office, the Ministry courtroom and the Hall of Prophecy.
The 14 minifigures allow fans to recreate scenes featuring characters including Harry Potter and Voldemort. The set also introduces the first-ever LEGO minifigure of Arabella Figg.
