Raw Thrills has confirmed that its expanded King Kong of Skull Island II arcade release will be shown at IAAPA 2023 the following week. The sequel had previously appeared during testing, but details had not been widely available until now.
King Kong II hardware details
King Kong II is a substantial content expansion rather than a minor revision. The original game’s first three chapters remain, while the update adds Chapters 4 and 5. Existing King Kong cabinets can receive the new content through an update kit, while newly sold machines will carry the King Kong II branding.
Update kits include new cabinet artwork, but the control layout remains unchanged. That makes the release relevant both to operators upgrading an existing machine and to buyers comparing new arcade machines.

A clearer view of the updated cabinet artwork is shown below.

King Kong II was not the only new Raw Thrills game announced on the day. Godzilla Kaiju Wars was also revealed.
New chapters and enemies
The two additional chapters are titled Tri-Trouble and Into the Deep.
Chapter 4: Tri-Trouble
Tri-Trouble sends players into dinosaur encounters featuring a Tyrannosaurus rex and a herd of Brachiosaurs, alongside many other prehistoric threats.
Chapter 5: Into the Deep
Into the Deep changes the setting to the ocean, where giant sharks and aggressive squid become the main hazards.
The official trailer provides an early look at both new chapters.
Pricing and availability
Pricing was not available at the time of the announcement. Distributors were expected to have those details at IAAPA 2023, while operators could also contact their Raw Thrills salesperson for information.
