Blue Motion Games has revealed John Wick: Continental Pursuit, the first arcade video game based on the John Wick film franchise, at Amusement Expo 2026. Developed with Lionsgate, the title is designed as a cinematic light-gun experience rather than a conventional static shooter.

What is John Wick: Continental Pursuit?

The game launches as a two-player motion simulator cabinet. Its platform moves beneath the seats, while wind effects, 7.1-channel surround sound and force-feedback guns add physical and environmental feedback to the action.

The franchise previously appeared in arcades through a Stern Pinball release in 2024. This new project takes a different approach, placing players inside a scene-driven shooting experience inspired by the modern neo-noir action series. New to the property? Explore the first film’s IMDB listing.

Prototype gun units shown at the expo have metallic casings that give them some weight. Their shape differs from a real pistol, including an elongated trigger guard, and Blue Motion Games has confirmed that the prototype colour is not the final production finish.

Early footage and development status

Because the trade-show floor had only just opened, detailed hands-on testing and extended gameplay footage were not yet available. The material shown so far represents an early version, so elements of the cabinet and game may change before release.

A short video provides an initial look at the machine in operation, with longer clips and further information expected to follow. The press conference held at Amusement Expo is also due to provide more detail.

Dave & Buster’s launch plans

According to the launch announcement, John Wick: Continental Pursuit will debut at Dave & Buster’s locations across the United States from May 11, 2026. Dave & Buster’s will be the exclusive U.S. launch partner throughout the summer.

The game is also planned for Canada, Europe, the Middle East and South America in the following months. The announcement does not provide Australian release information.

What the companies say

Gene Rogers, Lionsgate’s Senior Vice President of Production & Operations, Global Products and Experiences, said the partnership would bring the brand to life in an interactive format. Putnam Shin, Chief Entertainment Officer at Dave & Buster’s, described the exclusive U.S. rollout as part of the company’s focus on first-to-market, immersive entertainment.

Salim Sabbagha, President of Blue Motion Games, said the project is intended to let fans experience the film world rather than simply watch it, while also delivering an adrenaline-focused attraction for arcade operators.
