After a 20-month gap between new releases, Jersey Jack Pinball has unveiled Toy Story 4. The announcement confirms that the machine is already shipping, meaning customers who placed blind pre-orders may soon receive their games.
Toy Story has been linked to Jersey Jack Pinball through longstanding industry speculation. Rather than covering the complete film series, this machine focuses specifically on the fourth movie, giving the playfield a more concentrated theme.
Two editions at launch
Pat Lawlor led the design team, making Toy Story 4 his third Jersey Jack Pinball title. The machine is currently offered in two versions: the Collector’s Edition (CE), with a US$15,000 MSRP, and the Limited Edition (LE), listed at US$12,000.
No lower-priced standard edition has been announced. A recent company social-media update indicated that CE production was already close to selling out, so the LE may effectively fill that role for buyers seeking the more accessible version.
Woody, Buzz and Duke Caboom on the playfield
The promotional footage presents a highly produced look at the machine, including the Duke Caboom ramp shot. A later gameplay video provides a closer view of the rules, shots and animated playfield features.
The layout includes characters and scenes from Toy Story 4, including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Bo Peep, Duke Caboom, Forky, Gabby Gabby and the Bensons. Buzz and Woody also provide custom call-outs during play.
The soundtrack combines original music with a special version of Randy Newman’s “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”. Jersey Jack Pinball’s platform adds coordinated lighting, animations and film scenes to create a more immersive presentation.
