Jersey Jack Pinball has released its long-teased Harry Potter machine, inviting players to take the role of a Hogwarts student. The game draws primarily from the eight Warner Bros. films while following the major events of the original story.
Harry Potter Pinball: The Trailer
The launch trailer provides the clearest early look at the machine, its presentation and its playfield features. It is also one of Jersey Jack Pinball’s most elaborate pinball trailers to date.
Jersey Jack Pinball says the game was developed by Eric Meunier on game design, Joe Katz on rules and David Thiel on audio. The machine includes music by John Williams and clips from all eight Warner Bros. films.
The Cabinet and Editions
Harry Potter uses the familiar Jersey Jack Pinball cabinet format, including a 27-inch HD display built into the backbox. Each edition has its own artwork package.
Three versions are available: the Collectors Edition at $15,000, the Wizard Edition at $12,000 and the Arcade Edition at $10,000. The Collectors Edition and Wizard Edition include toppers. The Collectors Edition topper is more articulated, showing a wizard or witch flying on a broom around a tower.

Distinctive Playfield Features
The machine combines familiar Harry Potter locations and objects with several custom mechanical features:
- An interactive Death Eater sculpture
- A Grand Staircase with three entrances, 13 exits and moving portraits
- An upper Quidditch playfield with a flipper
- A wand three-ball lock with a potion cauldron passthrough
- A player camera
The Collectors Edition adds a Golden Snitch shooter rod, a MinaLima gold foil apron decal, Galleon gold sparkle armour, a spell-form laser-cut action-button applique, MinaLima illustrated gold foil Radcal artwork on the sides, MinaLima metallic foil inner art blades and the Hogwarts topper.
The Wizard Edition includes a Quidditch interactive topper, cinematic inner art blades, Auror’s Spectrum colour-shifting armour and Radcal artwork. Aside from edition-specific decoration and accessories, the playfields appear to share the same general layout and design, continuing Jersey Jack Pinball’s established approach.
How the Harry Potter Machine Plays
Gameplay covers the central events of the seven books and eight films. Players collect important objects, confront Death Eaters, take part in a pinball version of Quidditch, brew potions and gather Horcruxes before facing Voldemort and working towards peace.
At launch, hands-on impressions from outside Jersey Jack Pinball and its immediate circle were not yet available. The trailer makes the mechanical package look compelling, although more footage of the rules, software features and full gameplay would help show how the experience develops during a longer session.
Could Harry Potter Perform in Arcades?
Harry Potter is a substantial licence for pinball and has the potential to attract players who might not otherwise seek out a machine. The release arrives after the original film series concluded, but a successful pinball launch does not necessarily need to coincide with a film premiere.
For arcade operators, the price of a new machine remains an important consideration. The combination of a widely recognised property and distinctive physical design could help the game earn repeat plays, but its commercial performance will depend on real-world operator feedback and player response.
