Raw Thrills Launches Halo: Fireteam Raven 2-Player Upright

Raw Thrills has expanded the Halo: Fireteam Raven arcade range with a new two-player upright cabinet. The model follows several larger and more expensive formats, giving operators another way to bring the co-op shooter to their venues.

Halo: Fireteam Raven arcade history

First released in spring 2018, Halo: Fireteam Raven initially arrived in a large four-player Super Deluxe cabinet. Family entertainment centres, including Dave & Busters, added the machine to their venues.

Raw Thrills later introduced a two-player environmental cabinet, followed by a four-player upright. The upright replaced the Super Deluxe format in some locations, partly because it was considerably less expensive to manufacture—a particularly important consideration from around 2021 onwards.

An early indication of a possible two-player upright appeared at the end of 2021, when a modified Aliens Armageddon cabinet was seen running Halo software. Almost three years later, the concept has finally reached an official launch.

Halo: Fireteam Raven 2-player upright

A flyer distributed by Betson promotes the new model and states that it is available now. The cabinet combines design elements from Aliens Armageddon and the dedicated Big Buck Reloaded upright.

Its most distinctive feature is a pair of partial holsters designed to hold the Assault Rifle controllers. Operators seeking comparable upright arcade cabinets can compare the format with other dedicated machines.

The launch flyer does not include a price, and no price was available at the time of writing. Operators can request current pricing from their Raw Thrills distributor.

Where does it fit in the range?

The two-player upright should offer venues a smaller alternative to the four-player versions, while retaining the light-gun-style Assault Rifle controls that define the game. Its arrival also makes Fireteam Raven more likely to appear in additional arcade and entertainment venues.
