Rockstar Games has revealed almost 30 minutes of Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay, adding to the two trailers released since 2023. Fans have used those videos, screenshots and reported leaks to identify more than 270 vehicles before the game’s November launch.
The current count already exceeds the vehicle total of every previous single-player GTA game. With the full game still unreleased, the final number could rise further.
Fans have been carefully cataloguing each vehicle shown in Rockstar’s promotional material. The latest extended gameplay preview, together with leaks attributed to Cyberleek, has significantly expanded the list.
As of September 1, fans have spotted and documented 272 vehicles in GTA 6. The total includes cars, trucks, aircraft, motorcycles, scooters, boats and other vehicle types. More than 90 are new to the series, while the remainder return from earlier games, particularly GTA 5 and GTA 4.
How GTA 6 compares with earlier games
The scale becomes clearer when the current GTA 6 count is compared with the vehicle totals recorded for earlier releases:
- GTA 3: 56 vehicles
- GTA Vice City: 102 vehicles
- GTA San Andreas: 189 vehicles
- GTA 4 and downloadable content: 177 vehicles
- GTA 5 at launch: 252 vehicles
That puts the 272 vehicles identified so far ahead of GTA 5’s launch total, despite GTA 6 not yet being available to play. It also shows how dramatically the series expanded from the 56 vehicles featured in GTA 3.

GTA Online remains far ahead
There is one major exception to GTA 6’s current lead over previous single-player games: GTA Online. Over the past decade, Rockstar has added vehicles through numerous free updates.
By 2026, GTA Online contains more than 800 vehicles. That figure needs some qualification: not every vehicle is currently driving around the map, and some are no longer available in the game. Even so, GTA 6 remains well behind the online component’s enormous catalogue.
It would be surprising if GTA 6 reached anything close to 800 cars, boats and motorcycles when it launches in November. Its confirmed and documented total is already substantial, however, and the marketing campaign may still have more vehicles to reveal.
