Another set of apparent Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay leaks has appeared online, including footage of Jason driving at night, confronting security officers, using a taser and stealing a semi-truck. A line about using a VPN also appears to taunt Rockstar Games and Take-Two.
More GTA 6 gameplay footage appears online
On 19 August, a website associated with the earlier leaks added a clip titled Taser Video. Reuploads spread quickly across Reddit and social media before copyright complaints caused some versions to disappear. The leaked gameplay quickly spread across Reddit and social media.
In the footage, Jason drives through the city after dark before getting into a fight with security officers. He knocks them out, takes one officer’s hat and wears it, echoing the clothing interactions seen in Red Dead Redemption II. Jason later uses a taser on an officer’s body.
A prompt shown near a vehicle suggests players may be able to “clone” car keys. Jason then pursues a semi-truck on foot and takes control of it.
A conspicuous VPN reference
A subsequent cutscene includes the line: “They don’t know nothing about me, man. I use a VPN.” Its inclusion has been interpreted as a direct jab at the people behind Rockstar Games and Take-Two, who appear to be trying to limit the spread of the unauthorised footage.
Fans also identified the music heard in the clip as Tate McRae’s 2025 song Sports Car. Within an hour of the leak, comments on the song’s official lyric-video upload were reportedly filling with jokes from GTA fans.
A fourth clip adds weapons and a healing item
Later that day, another apparent gameplay video titled Junkies appeared on the same site. It shows the player character Jason attacking a police officer, taking a motorcycle, riding it into a river and attacking people beneath an overpass with a knife.
The footage also appears to show the game’s weapon wheel for the first time, along with an item called “Zombix”, which seems to restore health. This was described as the fourth gameplay clip connected to the site in 48 hours. Copyright removals affecting several copies have added to the impression that the material is genuine, although neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two had officially confirmed that as of 10:00 a.m. EST on Wednesday.
Questions around the leaked build
Players have been debating the age of the build, its origins and the features visible in the clips. The videos also appear connected to a broader anti-digital-games manifesto published on the site. The consumer-protection group Stop Killing Games has publicly condemned the leaks.
Rockstar Games’ planned official extended gameplay presentation is due to air on Netflix on 27 August, with the footage expected to reach YouTube and other free platforms several hours later. Some fans are asking for an earlier release to get ahead of the unauthorised material.
An earlier leak in 2023 prompted Rockstar to publish the first GTA 6 trailer hours ahead of schedule. Whether the company changes its current plans before the end of August remains unknown.
