GTA 6 gameplay reveal: Rockstar has shown an unexpectedly foul slice of its upcoming open-world adventure during a recent South Park episode.
Grand Theft Auto 6 remains one of the most anticipated games in the world. With fans examining every rumour and repeatedly asking Rockstar for more official footage, even a brief new clip is likely to attract serious attention.
The latest glimpse arrived on October 28, during an episode titled Beef Battle. The broadcast presented the footage as a South Park gag, but it was genuine gameplay supplied by Rockstar.
A very unusual GTA 6 gameplay clip
In the scene, a German Shepherd leaves a mess on the street before walking away. Its owner then collects the dog waste while Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval pass behind them.
A woman watching the footage explains that players can throw objects at the person carrying the mess. Jason demonstrates the feature by picking up the dog waste after it is dropped, then throwing it at the owner and attacking him.
It is an absurd sequence, but the episode’s end credits identify the footage as a Rockstar Games contribution rather than an animation created solely for the comedy series.
What the scene suggests about Rockstar’s world
The gag also highlights the level of environmental interaction Rockstar appears to be pursuing. Previous games have included famously granular touches, including the horse anatomy detail in Red Dead Redemption 2. Against that backdrop, picking up and throwing dog waste feels entirely plausible.
