Grand Theft Auto 6 appears unlikely to include a direct parody of Disney World, despite its fictional version of Florida drawing heavily from the state’s real locations and landmarks.

In as part of its large 14-page preview of GTA 6 , Rockstar was asked about Orlando, Disney World, NASA’s Space Center and the Space Force base at Cape Canaveral. None of those locations has appeared in the game’s official trailers, screenshots, gameplay footage or reported leaks.

Paul MacPherson, Rockstar’s senior vice president of environment art, indicated that the finished map will not reproduce every famous Florida landmark exactly. He explained that the team assesses a broad mix of landscapes, towns, buildings, landmarks, views, plants and geological features before selecting the elements that best support the game’s design and story.

His comments suggest that GTA 6 is aiming to capture the character of Florida rather than recreate every recognisable destination. That leaves room for fictional versions of central or eastern Florida locations, but makes a full Orlando setting or an obvious Disney World equivalent seem less likely.

There may still be a Disney-inspired element in the game. A Minnie Mouse-style character spotted in the gameplay reveal that seems connected to Fred’s Pictures, a fictional entertainment company previously referenced in GTA V, points towards Rockstar parodying the brand in a more indirect way.

Central Florida does appear to have a presence in the game. Marketing material has shown a large alligator-themed park that seems to be directly inspired by the long-running Gatorland, the real amusement park and zoo south of Orlando.

That approach fits Rockstar’s broader method: borrow recognisable details from real places, then reshape them into a fictional world. Players may therefore encounter Florida’s atmosphere and attractions without receiving one-to-one versions of its most famous tourist destinations.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox. Whether its fictional theme parks include a clearer Disney reference remains to be seen.
