Grave Seasons finally has a launch date
After moving from its planned August release to an indefinite delay, Perfect Garbage has put its horror farming adventure back on the calendar. Grave Seasons will launch on 9 March 2027 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X.
The new date was revealed during the Cozy After Dark showcase, alongside a closer look at the game’s autumn season, story structure and customisable gothic homestead.

A farm sim built around supernatural mysteries
Grave Seasons is structured around stories rather than a single checklist of farming objectives. Each major storyline follows a supernatural serial killer operating in the small village where the player settles after leaving prison.
Players take the role of a recently released convict and can choose whether to pursue the killer. Each case unfolds over one in-game year. Once that year ends, the story for that particular monster is complete, but the village remains available for another investigation.
Progress is designed to carry forward between stories, including farm development and decorative changes. That gives the game a continuing sense of place even as its supernatural threats change.
For readers comparing the game’s homestead-building appeal with other interactive home setups, RETROCADE’s virtual pinball machines offer another way to make a games room a visual centrepiece.
Gothic furniture meets cosy customisation
Narrative director Emmett Nahil demonstrated a complete gothic furniture set during the presentation. The look combines plush red seating, deep purple wallpaper and substantial lampshades to create a deliberately theatrical farmhouse interior.
The outside of the home follows the same mood, with wine-red paint, dark timber details and trailing plants. Customisation is not limited to the main house, either. A preview showed a bright chicken coop decorated with vines and strings of lights, suggesting that players can take the style of each building in different directions.

Autumn brings harvests, hazards and the Nocturne Faire
Because each story lasts for a single in-game year, Perfect Garbage aims to give every season its own identity. Autumn features trees in rich earthy colours, mushrooms growing in the woods and fields filled with seasonal crops.
The harvest can also produce stranger discoveries. During the demonstration, the farmer unearthed a detached eyeball while tilling the soil. Autumn also includes a selection of deadly herbs, although the game’s presentation left their intended use deliberately ominous.
The season’s special event is the Nocturne Faire, a festival marking the year’s decline. Visitors can find mulled wine and cider stalls, alongside a kiosk selling an unsettling straw doll.

Turning cosy conventions inside out
Perfect Garbage co-founder Son M and Nahil have described Grave Seasons as an attempt to stretch the boundaries of cosy games. Its farming, decorating and seasonal routines sit alongside murder investigations and supernatural danger, making the darker parts of life feel approachable without removing their unease.
The contrast should make Grave Seasons an interesting fit for players who enjoy life and farming sims but want something more macabre than a traditional village story.
