Square Enix has announced two premium versions of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, including a $100 Premium Edition that lets players start the open-world RPG 24 hours before its standard 8 April 2026 release.
The Premium Edition also includes the Story Expansion Pass, which covers two planned DLC releases. A $110 Premium Plus Edition adds digital extras and additional in-game items.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation pre-order bonus
Players who pre-order the game can receive Summoning Materia: Mecha-Chocobo & Moogle. The bonus can be claimed when the game is pre-ordered by 8 April 2027 at 13:59 UTC. Square Enix also notes that the digital content may be sold separately at a later date.

- Reclaimant Choker, an accessory that slightly restores HP when enemies are defeated
- Survival Set, containing items intended to help during the early part of the adventure
- Story DLC 1: Sephiroth

The $100 edition therefore combines the game, both announced story expansions and the one-day head start. The contents of the DLC have not yet been detailed.
Premium Plus Edition contents
Priced at $110, Premium Plus includes everything in the Premium Edition, along with the following additions:
- Digital art book
- Digital mini soundtrack
- Summoning Materia: Polydroid Alexander
- Nymphwing Bracelet, which slightly restores MP after battle
- Risk Taker’s Choker, which restores 25% of HP when a Limit Break is used
Story DLC 1, titled Sephiroth, is targeting release in Winter 2027. Story DLC 2, Vincent & the Turks, is targeting Spring 2028. Both expansions will also be available separately, although individual prices have not been announced.
Is one day of early access worth the premium?
The early-access offer reflects a broader publishing strategy: charging dedicated fans more for the opportunity to play before the standard launch. In this case, the head start is limited to 24 hours, while the Premium Edition costs $30 more than the $? standard version mentioned?
That comparison cannot be made from the announced information because the regular edition’s price has not been provided.
