Fast & Furious has travelled well beyond its street-racing origins, appearing in games, toys, theme-park attractions and crossover projects with properties including Fortnite and Rocket League. Its latest team-up takes the franchise in an even more unexpected direction.
Lego Dreamzzz: How to Fast Train Your Furious Dragon combines Lego Dreamzzz, How to Train Your Dragon and Fast & Furious in a new animated special, now available to stream on Peacock.
A crossover involving cars, dragons and dream worlds
The story begins when characters from Lego Dreamzzz enter a reality where the Fast & Furious and How to Train Your Dragon universes have collided. That brings the Dreamzzz team together with Hiccup and Toothless in a world combining high-speed cars, dragons and dream-based adventure.
The group must also confront the Nightmare King, who has turned the dragons of Berk against their allies. With the two worlds in chaos, the solution is as unusual as the premise: bring the cars and dragons together.
What to expect from the animated special
The project was created through a collaboration between Lego, Universal Products & Experiences, and the teams behind the three participating franchises. At roughly 40 minutes, it is a compact animated adventure rather than a new feature-length Fast & Furious film.
For Australian arcade fans, the car-focused crossover may also appeal to anyone who enjoys driving games and high-speed competition. Explore RETROCADE’s racing simulators for more ways to bring that motorsport feeling into a games room, or browse the latest arcade news and features.
A very different kind of family adventure
Combining Lego characters, Viking-era dragons and an action-movie car franchise makes this one of the more unusual additions to the wider Fast & Furious universe. The short runtime should make it an easy watch for families looking for a quick animated adventure on Peacock.
