Bethesda is giving Fallout 4 players several substantial reasons to return to the Commonwealth, with three new post-apocalyptic RPG experiences either available through Creation or planned for release.

These projects are being developed by modders in partnership with Bethesda, placing them closer to official expansions than conventional fan-made additions. They are available to players on PlayStation 5, Xbox and PC through Bethesda’s Creation platform.

Command Override puts RobCo in the spotlight
The most technology-focused project is Command Override, a compact campaign centred on the robotics company RobCo. Its story takes players into RobCo headquarters, where hacking, machinery and direct robot control are central to the action.
The adventure introduces equipment such as the Ghost Pilot Suit, which allows the player to see through walls. It also adds weapons including a Beam Gun that can overheat to inflict additional damage. That increased firepower comes with a risk: using it can cause extra radiation poisoning.
Robot piloting also gives players access to mechanical weapon systems, including a Sentry Bot missile pod and an Assaultron eye laser. The project’s action-heavy presentation suggests a larger scope than a typical small mod.
Fallout 4 veterans return for FEVer Dreams
Fallout 4: FEVer Dreams takes a different approach while bringing back Courtenay Taylor and Brian T. Delaney, the original voice performers for the game’s protagonists. The story begins with the player trapped, unarmed and apparently infected by an active strain of the Forced Evolutionary Virus.
Although combat remains part of the experience, the project also uses an escape-room-style dungeon filled with puzzles. It is designed as a lore-heavy investigation into Fallout’s infamous bioweapon, with new weapons, equipment and characters alongside familiar faces.

Players choose one of the two protagonists, while the other spouse continues speaking to them during the adventure. The story includes difficult decisions, including a moment in which a ghoul reveals that only one person may be able to use the remaining dose of a suspected FEV cure.
Fathomless heads underwater in 2027
The third project, Fallout 4: Fathomless, is planned for release sometime in 2027. It shifts the series into cosmic horror, sending players beneath the surface to investigate a mysterious deep-sea crater.
The entire adventure takes place underwater, with shipwrecks to explore and new Eldritch horrors to encounter. Like FEVer Dreams, it will be voiced, and Bethesda has shown a glimpse of the eerie project in an official Fallout Day video.

These additions offer something to play while Bethesda’s next major Fallout and Elder Scrolls projects remain distant prospects. For more ways to create a home gaming setup, RETROCADE also offers compact bartop arcades and arcade parts for custom projects and repairs.
