exA-Arcadia has revealed fresh details about Chaos Code -Nemesis Experiment-, the upcoming sequel from FK Digital. A location test date has not been announced, but the fighting game is currently targeting a summer release.
Chaos Code’s Arcade Origins
Chaos Code is a 2D fighting game developed by Japan-based studio FK Digital. The original reached Japanese arcades in 2011, with later iterations including a PlayStation 4 version. An “ultimate edition” then launched worldwide on exA-Arcadia in May 2020.

A Sequel Returns to the exA-Arcadia Line-up
There was once concern that Chaos Code EXA might be FK Digital’s final release after a key member of the studio, who also produced the series, died several years ago. Those expectations changed when exA-Arcadia presented the sequel at EVO Japan 2024.
One year later, Chaos Code -Nemesis Experiment- is being prepared for a tentative summer launch. An earlier build was playable at IAAPA 2024, and this earlier gameplay footage is available to watch here if you’re so inclined.
The newly released promotional footage features Hikaru, a central character often compared with Ryu from Street Fighter, alongside Kagari, Chaos Crasher Gou and Ray. It also gives a look at additional stages and their visual effects.
A second video focuses on Vein and Kudalak Sin. The new stages also appear to use more pronounced parallax than those in the previous game.
