Disney Speedstorm Arcade, the arcade adaptation of Gameloft’s kart racer produced with Adrenaline Amusements, is moving towards production. Shipments are expected to begin in May after the game was first unveiled at Amusement Expo 2026.

Disney has appeared in arcade games through properties including TRON, Cars and Disney Crossy Road. A family-friendly racing cabinet based on Speedstorm gives the brand another strong fit for entertainment venues and other locations with a broad audience.
The Amusement Expo 2026 prototype was not the final cabinet design. Adrenaline has been refining the artwork and paint treatment, adding an infinity mirror to the rear, fitting a coin door and revising the card reader and dispenser arrangement. The following updated render is intended to provide a closer preview of cabinets that could appear in selected game rooms this summer:
The card hardware is still not clearly positioned in this pre-production render. However, Adrenaline has confirmed that cards are optional: an empty dispenser will not stop the game from operating. The company has not yet settled which characters will be available by default without a scanned card.
Cards, cups and unlockable content
Adrenaline is also planning card boxes containing 200 cards, with distribution expected to occur through the distributor supplying each machine. Players can use extra credits to purchase a card, or earn cards by completing one of the game’s three cups. Each cup contains three tracks, creating nine tracks in total.
The card system could provide a way to introduce additional characters and items over time. Adrenaline has indicated that more content is planned, although the nature and timing of those additions have not been disclosed. The home release already has a roster of characters, so it is reasonable to expect the arcade version could eventually move closer to that selection.
Exclusive arcade characters would also give the machine an extra point of difference. Possibilities such as TRON characters—including Tron, Kevin Flynn, Yori and Clu—or VINCENT from Disney’s The Black Hole would be appealing ideas, although the game’s child-focused character selection makes those particular additions unlikely. The broader opportunity for arcade-only content remains relevant even if those examples never appear.
Key hardware features
Adrenaline’s updated brochure, available through the game’s webpage, lists a 75-inch 4K display, 5.1-channel surround sound and seat vibration feedback. Up to four units can also be linked for multiplayer racing.
