Diablo 4 may be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 as early as September, according to a report based on recent video-game classification listings.
Dealabs Magazine reports that Blizzard’s action RPG has been scheduled for Nintendo’s newer console on either 15 or 18 September. The report also lists a US$69.99 price and a physical “code in a box” edition, which would contain a download code rather than a game cartridge.
The report follows an earlier listing from Indonesia’s Indonesia Game Rating System. That classification reportedly covered Diablo 4 expansion Lord of Hatred for Nintendo Switch, alongside other platforms, before the listing attracted attention and appeared to be removed. Taiwan’s ratings board later briefly published a Switch 2 classification for Diablo 4 before taking it down.
Neither Blizzard nor Xbox has announced a Switch 2 edition. Dealabs says it independently confirmed that the port exists, but could not establish whether Lord of Hatred will be included. Until an official announcement arrives, the reported release dates and package details remain unconfirmed.
The Lord of Hatred expansion has been praised for strengthening the endgame and adding the Spiritborn class, although broader problems with Diablo 4 were still noted. A related preview has also highlighted the game’s Warlock, described as a demon-summoning class that survived Hell and returned with chaotic powers.
Could Gamescom host the announcement?
If the reported September launch window is accurate, an official reveal at Gamescom later this month would be possible. Xbox has confirmed a major presence at Gamescom 2026 for its 25th anniversary, with 140 gaming stations planned at its booth.
Confirmed Microsoft booth appearances include the first public live gameplay demonstration of Fable from Playground Games, along with more information about Alien Isolation 2. Other unreleased titles listed for the event are Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Gears of War: E-Day, Minecraft Dungeons 2, Metro 2039, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse and Valor Mortis.
Another demanding game for Nintendo’s console
A Switch 2 version would give Nintendo’s growing software line-up another major third-party release. The system has demonstrated that it can run graphically demanding games, while other recent conversions have exposed the limits of its hardware. Performance, visual quality and feature support for Diablo 4 will not be clear until Blizzard formally presents the port.
Blizzard has already brought the series to Nintendo hardware. Diablo 3 launched on the original Nintendo Switch in 2018, followed by Diablo 2 Resurrected in 2021.
