Beast of Reincarnation, the upcoming action RPG from Game Freak, has reportedly appeared online three days before its scheduled 4 August release. The game is due to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and Steam.
How the alleged leak surfaced
Reports have circulated through piracy-focused communities, including the DODI Repacks Discord server and the r/Piracy and r/PiratedGames subreddits. The exact route by which the game became available before launch remains unconfirmed, although some users have speculated that Steam preloading may be connected to the incident.
As with other fast-moving gaming news, early claims should be treated carefully until the publisher provides verified information.
Early performance reports are mixed
Some people claiming to have played the leaked version have described it as running smoothly. One report from a player using an ROG Ally X said the opening area reached approximately 30–40 frames per second at 1080p with medium settings and TAAU Performance. The player said performance did not fall below 30fps, reported no shader-compilation stutter, and praised the visuals and soundtrack.
A separate PC report was much less positive. That user described an average of 70–80fps at 4K with maximum settings and DLSS Ultra Quality, using a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. They also noted that frame generation was unavailable.
These observations offer only a limited snapshot. Hardware, settings and the condition of an unauthorised pre-release build can all affect performance, so they should not be treated as a final assessment of the finished game. Game Freak and the game’s publisher, Fictions, had not officially commented on the alleged leak at the time of reporting.
