Bike Dash Delivery has returned to the United States for another location test, giving Bandai Namco Amusement America’s bicycle-based food-delivery game a further chance to reach arcades.
The title first surfaced alongside GoldStorm Pirates in 2023. While the pirate shooter has progressed towards a Western release after appearances at IAAPA and EAG, Bike Dash Delivery has followed a much less predictable path. Its gameplay combines the delivery rush of Crazy Taxi with ideas reminiscent of Prop Cycle and Downhill Bikers.
Following additional testing, including an earlier United States trial in 2024, the game went quiet for a time. It resurfaced at Japan’s Amusement Expo in November, followed by a Japanese location test there. Its return to testing suggested the project remained active rather than cancelled. Now, roughly a year after its first US appearance, it is back for another evaluation.
This remains a prototype under test. Features, presentation and hardware may change, and a commercial release has not been confirmed.
Bike Dash Delivery returns to Fox Valley Mall
The latest test is taking place at Round1USA in Fox Valley Mall, Aurora, Illinois. The venue is relatively close to Bandai Namco Amusement America’s headquarters and has become a regular testing location for the company. Recent trials there have included GoldStorm Pirates and Animal Kaiser Plus, alongside a Bandai Gashapon pop-up shop that has since been removed.
The cabinet appears broadly consistent with the newer Japanese version shown late last year. One notable difference is the removal of the seat adjusters. Earlier test versions had changed this feature more than once, but this is the first reported version without it altogether. That may simplify maintenance, although a fixed seating position could be less comfortable for players of different heights.
The remaining Japanese elements also appear to be receiving localisation, including the marquee, which had still used Japanese text during earlier testing. These presentation changes indicate that Bandai Namco continues to consider a release outside Japan.
Gameplay remains unchanged in the latest trial
Reports from the current US test indicate that the gameplay itself is unchanged from the previous American trial. The second test was only reached after setup problems continued through the weekend, and the initial hands-on experience was not positive. The player’s account describes a poor experience so far.
That reaction contrasts with the generally favourable impressions reported from the game’s Japanese appearances. The difference could reflect software variations between tests, or simply different audience expectations. Could Bike Dash Delivery reach more arcades?
The continued testing makes an appearance at Bandai Namco Amusement America’s booth at Amusement Expo International a possibility, with IAAPA in November another potential showcase. Neither event confirms a launch, and the game could still be changed or discontinued. However, its repeated returns to testing suggest that Bandai Namco has not abandoned the project.
