Attack on Titan 3 brings the complete story to consoles
Attack on Titan will return on 9 December with Attack on Titan 3, a new release from Omega Force, the team behind Dynasty Warriors, and publisher Koei Tecmo. The game is positioned as a large-scale retelling of the anime and manga’s full storyline, including its controversial conclusion.

The release arrives more than eight years after the previous Attack on Titan game. Rather than playing directly as Eren, Armin or Mikasa, players will follow the story as a custom original character. The game’s Attack on Titan 3 listing provides further game information.

A retelling of the entire manga
Attack on Titan 3 is described as a compilation of the earlier games, covering events from the beginning through to the ending. Alongside rebuilt versions of notable scenes, the project adds new story material and battles featuring the Nine Titans, which appear in-game for the first time in this series.
The game combines the story from the start to its conclusion with new story developments, rebuilt memorable scenes and intense battles against the Nine Titans.
The standard release is scheduled for 10 December, while PC players using Steam can begin one day earlier. Pre-orders opened in August alongside details of a physical SteelBook edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition.
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes cosmetic downloadable content, a digital art book and 72 hours of early access on every platform except Nintendo Switch 2. Players with Attack on Titan 2 save data will also receive an in-game bonus.

Platforms and December competition
The game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X. Its December launch places it among a busy group of Japanese-developed releases, including Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World, Professor Layton and the New World of Steam and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
For Australian players planning a dedicated setup, the Arcade Machine Buying Guide can help with display, control and space considerations, while arcade machines offer a larger centrepiece for game rooms. Compact spaces may suit bartop arcades, and anyone building a custom cabinet can explore DIY arcade kits.

With its complete narrative scope, custom protagonist and new Titan encounters, Attack on Titan 3 is set to be one of the final major releases in a crowded 2026 autumn season. Australian release timing and local availability were not specified in the supplied details.
