LAI Games has announced the availability of Asphalt 9 Legends Arcade DX Plus in North America, earlier than expected. The updated racing cabinet arrives alongside news that the Hyper Grid attraction is also available for locations.
Asphalt 9 Legends Arcade DX Plus introduces a new cabinet
The Plus edition updates the 2021 release of Asphalt Legends 9 Arcade with a substantially revised cabinet. It keeps the original carbon-fibre racing seat and motion base, but replaces the monitor section with a design recently used for 3MindWave and Wahlap’s Storm Racer 2.
The new cabinet features an 85-inch 4K screen mounted in portrait orientation. Existing gameplay hardware and effects remain, including motion, wind, vibration and force-feedback steering.
Operators can link up to four Asphalt 9 Legends Arcade DX Plus machines. The cabinet can also connect with Asphalt Moto Blitz DX Plus, allowing players in different vehicles to compete together across a network of up to eight linked units.
No release date has been announced for Asphalt Moto Blitz DX Plus beyond its planned appearance at IAAPA. It may arrive sooner, although a later launch would give Asphalt 9 Legends Arcade DX Plus time to establish itself first.

What is included in the game?
The original release included 20 vehicles and four courses. The Plus version expands that selection to 23 licensed cars, including Lamborghini, and 22 tracks. The track list includes New York and Scotland.
The game is also expected to feature special online events, although details have not yet been provided. Global leaderboards are included, giving operators and players a way to compare results beyond an individual venue. Ticket redemption support is available for locations that want to use the game in that format.
Pricing has not been disclosed. Interested operators will need to request a quote from their preferred distributor. Hyper Grid arrives as a compact location attraction
The Hyper Grid system first appeared at IAAPA 2025 and is now available to locations. It was among the early “pixel pusher” attractions shown at that event, combining RGB LED-backlit floor tiles with a selection of short interactive games.
One example is The Ground Is Lava, where players avoid the red tiles. The format is designed for walk-in group play and sits between a conventional arcade machine and a larger attraction such as a ropes course or bowling lanes.
Hyper Grid offers a type of social play that is difficult to replicate with home devices. For family entertainment centres and other venues, that distinction may help create an experience that encourages visitors to play together on site.
