Shinorubi Pink Label and Donut Dodo Do! open for pre-order

exA-Arcadia has opened pre-orders for two new software kits following a pause between releases. Shinorubi Pink Label is a scrolling shoot ’em up adapted extensively from its PC version, including changes made to support TATE display orientation.

Donut Dodo Do! has likewise been reworked from its console counterpart. It adds new stages and simultaneous two-player action, making it closer to an arcade-exclusive sequel. The listed pricing is approximately $1,250 for Shinorubi Pink Label and $850 for Donut Dodo Do!, placing the latter in the same value-focused category as Astro Ninja Man Exa and Cosmic Digger 3671.

Atari adds 12 Stern Electronics arcade titles

Atari has acquired the intellectual property for 12 classic arcade games originally released by Stern Electronics. The deal covers future re-releases and possible remasters of some or all of the catalogue.

Berzerk is likely to attract the most attention. Although many players associate it with Atari because the company licensed the home versions and promoted them heavily, the original arcade release was not an Atari game. Its acquisition, 41 years later, gives the brand ownership of the property alongside several lesser-known titles. Frenzy is another obvious candidate for renewed interest, while the broader collection could also support new coin-operated adaptations.

NFS Heat Takedown DX appears at DEAL 2023

The deluxe edition of NFS Heat Takedown was shown at DEAL 2023. It was among the less familiar games at the event, having not appeared at IAAPA 2022 or EAG 2023. The footage comes from PrimeTime Amusements.

Possible Galactic Tank Force playfield surfaces
