Alan-1 has officially announced Dr Pepper™ SODA SLAM!, a branded variation of its Soda Slam! ticket arcade game released earlier in 2025. The new edition brings Dr Pepper’s Fansville campaign, revised cabinet artwork and updated player controls to the drink-pouring competition.
From Perfect Pour to Soda Slam!
The concept can be traced back to DSM Arcade’s Perfect Pour, which was revealed a little over a year before this announcement. The game began shipping earlier in 2025, then Alan-1 picked it up around IAAPA 2024 and developed it into a family entertainment centre version called Soda Slam!.
That Alan-1 version launched during the US summer, but the company’s plans extended beyond the initial release. Dr Pepper™ SODA SLAM! is the next licensed variation of the same core game.
How Dr Pepper SODA SLAM! Plays
The fundamentals remain unchanged. Players pull back the tap handles to pour drinks as quickly and accurately as possible, competing against the game’s CPU or another player. The standard setup awards tickets, while an amusement-park-style free-play option lets players compete for points instead.
The cabinet also supports Alan-1’s MLES app for score tracking and tournaments, giving operators and players a way to record competitive results beyond an individual game.

New Fansville Artwork and Tap Handles
The main differences are visual and physical rather than gameplay-related. The graphics now incorporate Dr Pepper’s Fansville advertising campaign, including customers dressed in football jerseys.
Alan-1 is also introducing new cabinet artwork and joystick-style tap handles decorated with images of the featured Dr Pepper drinks. Four flavours are represented. The updated Dr Pepper branding also omits the full stop after “Dr”.

Deluxe and Super Deluxe Cabinets
Operators can choose between the Deluxe and Super Deluxe cabinets. The difference is the large can display elements mounted beside the monitor.
These side pieces have also been redesigned compared with the earlier Super Deluxe version of Soda Slam!. The previous model used large fibreglass props, while the Dr Pepper edition uses oversized, back-lit marquee-style elements rather than fully three-dimensional cans.

IAAPA 2025 Showcase
Both Dr Pepper SODA SLAM! cabinet versions are available to order now. Two units are scheduled to appear at IAAPA 2025, alongside another new Soda Slam! model built around a different beverage licence.
The Dr Pepper branding could be a meaningful draw in the US market, although its impact in other regions will depend on local familiarity with the brand. For operators comparing new attractions, the Arcade Machine Buying Guide offers a useful starting point, while the arcade machines range provides broader context on cabinet formats.
