Wahlap has announced three major awards for its business, products and leadership while its racing title STORM RACER 2 begins shipping to markets worldwide. The company also shared data covering China’s game and amusement equipment sector in 2025.

At the 21st China Game Industry Annual Conference, held on 23 January 2026, Wahlap received three honours. The company was recognised as an Outstanding Enterprise in China’s Game Industry.
STORM RACER 2, which Wahlap developed in-house, won the Outstanding Game & Amusement Equipment award. Wahlap chairman Benny Su was also named an Industry Influential Figure for his contribution to the development of the sector.
Wahlap presented the awards as recognition of its independent research and development work. It also positioned the company’s product development and business relationships as part of a longer-term strategy for supporting amusement-equipment partners around the world.
What Wahlap’s 2025 market data shows
During the conference, Benny Su discussed the condition of the game and amusement industry in 2025. The figures supplied by Wahlap indicate that China’s market continued to develop steadily, with Guangdong accounting for 98.5% of national game and amusement equipment revenue.
The same presentation reported overseas revenue growth of 9.2% compared with 2024. It also stated that approximately 5,000 new amusement venues open in China each year, with more than 60,000 venues operating. The overall venue count may include locations focused partly or primarily on crane games, but it still represents a substantial potential customer base for arcade-equipment manufacturers.
A large international manufacturing footprint
Wahlap says it controls more than 40 gaming intellectual properties, produces over 300,000 gaming-equipment units each year and operates across more than 100 countries. It also supplies equipment to over 10,000 venues.
