LAI Games is now shipping Ubisoft All-Star VR, its second major virtual-reality arcade release and its second collaboration with Ubisoft. The game follows 2017’s Virtual Rabbids: The Big Ride.

Following location testing in May, the game received its first official unveiling at IAAPA Expo Europe 2024 in September through LAI Games’ European distributors, Sega Amusements.
Virtual Rabbids performed strongly, although its ride-focused format offered no controls for interacting with the environment. That limitation became more noticeable as competing attractions introduced greater player input. LAI partly addressed the issue in the Ultra HD update by adding a ride level where the system automatically fired lasers in the direction of the player’s gaze.
Ubisoft All-Star VR takes a more interactive approach. It retains D-BOX motion seats, while adding a large 17.6-inch curved LED billboard screen and a hybrid controller combining a mounted gun with steering controls.

Each player uses a DPVR E4 headset. Two cabinets can be linked, allowing up to four people to take part at the same time. LAI has not published pricing in the supplied information, although an expectation was raised that it could be close to the cost of Virtual Rabbids. An optional marquee is also available. You can find the official page for it, here.
For operators researching different types of arcade machines, this cabinet combines motion, VR, a large display and physical controls in one attraction.
Gameplay and Ubisoft teams
The game offers three adventures, which is LAI’s term for its levels, and four selectable teams based on Ubisoft properties:
- Assassin’s Creed
- Splinter Cell
- Far Cry
- Just Dance
Players face Vaas Montenegro from Far Cry 3 as the villain, with the objective of fighting back and saving the world.
At IAAPA 2025, the game was available to play, although only one of the three adventures was experienced and multiplayer could not be tested. The basic flow involved choosing a team, selecting an adventure and entering the scenario.
The played adventure combined non-interactive ride sections with driving and shooting sequences. The balance of these elements varies between adventures, and it was not clear how much the game may have changed since that hands-on session.
Ubisoft All-Star VR is an arcade-exclusive release. It was also understood to be the first arcade game release of the year at the time of the report, with availability expected in Europe as well.
