Pokémon and ESA launch space-themed merchandise
Pokémon and the European Space Agency have joined forces on a space-themed merchandise collection, bringing Pikachu and several other Pokémon into orbit for World Space Week.

The collaboration marks World Space Week, which runs from 4 to 10 October. The Pokémon Company International and ESA created the range with the stated aim of inspiring the next generation of explorers. The collection is now available, although some products are limited to the United States Pokémon Center website.
What is included in the Pokémon space collection?
The headline items are two astronaut Pikachu plush toys. One version wears a white space suit, while the other features a dark-blue design. The range also includes pins and patches showing Pikachu in astronaut gear, alongside Lunatone, Minior and Cosmog.

Clothing extends the space theme with an ESA dark-blue bomber jacket and a light-blue ESA T-shirt. The shirt features Pikachu moving through a star-filled scene, giving fans an option beyond plush toys and accessories.

For collectors who enjoy displaying themed items alongside their arcade machines, the collection offers plenty of visual variety. Smaller items such as pins and patches could also suit a dedicated games room, while a compact bartop arcade can add another feature without taking up the space of a full cabinet.
Two items are still awaiting release details
Not every product is ready to order. A decorative astronaut Pikachu figure and a 1,000-piece space-themed Pikachu puzzle are still to come. At the time of publication, neither the Pokémon Company nor ESA had announced when those two products would be available.
Fans interested in the unreleased items will need to monitor the Pokémon Center for updates. For other space-themed entertainment in a games room, RETROCADE’s arcade news and virtual pinball machines collections provide further reading and display ideas.
