A new Tears of the Kingdom amiibo is almost here
Nintendo will release a Mineru’s Construct amiibo on 17 September, giving The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fans a new figure to add to their collections. The announcement arrived in May, around the game’s third anniversary, and the figure is already a strong contender for the year’s standout amiibo.
Mineru’s Construct is the ancient Zonai robot associated with the Sage of Spirit, Mineru. In the closing stages of the game, Link rebuilds and controls the Construct, making this a character and machine with a particularly important role in the story.
A large, poseable Zelda figure
The figure is relatively large compared with many other amiibo releases. Its most notable feature is a pair of fully articulated arms, allowing owners to create different display poses. Nintendo says there is considerable freedom in the movement and encourages collectors to find a pose that looks right.
What the Mineru’s Construct amiibo unlocks
Like other amiibo, Mineru’s Construct can be tapped against the Nintendo Switch’s NFC reader while playing. The scan provides useful in-game items, with a chance to unlock a special paraglider fabric featuring a Mineru’s Construct design and glow-in-the-dark details.
Its late arrival is curious: the amiibo launches almost three years after Tears of the Kingdom first appeared and a year after the game received its Switch 2 edition. The Construct is also closely tied to the game’s late story, so revealing it so long after launch avoids introducing a significant character and machine too early to players.

More Zelda projects are on the way
The amiibo arrives during a significant period for the franchise. Nintendo is scheduled to release a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time later in 2026. The series is also set to reach cinemas in 2027 with a live-action film titled The Legend of Zelda.
