Rockstar Games has yet to identify the person or group using the name “Cyberleek”, which appears to be connected to an ongoing leak of Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay footage. The breach has produced almost daily videos showing previously unrevealed sections of the game, scheduled for release on November 19. A report by Bloomberg says the investigation has still not revealed who is responsible.
Despite the continuing exposure, Rockstar reportedly intends to proceed with its planned marketing schedule. That includes an “extended” look at Grand Theft Auto 6, due to arrive as a Netflix exclusive on August 27. The company is not currently expected to alter that presentation because of the leaked material.
Rockstar investigates another security breach
Behind the scenes, the situation has prompted an urgent investigation, described as an “all hands on deck” effort to determine how the latest access was obtained. Rockstar introduced much tighter security measures after a 2022 hack, including ending remote work. Even so, someone appears to have reached an early build of the upcoming game.

Take-Two pursues information about the leaks
Take-Two Interactive has a reputation for taking a forceful approach to intellectual-property disputes. The publisher has previously targeted fan projects and pursued cases involving the mishandling of its trademarks and copyrighted material. That history has led some fans to joke about lawyers arriving at the leaker’s home.
Take-Two has also filed requests seeking records from Discord and Microsoft. Those records could help establish how the breach occurred and identify the person or group behind the leaked footage.
A notably quiet social-media presence
While the investigation continues, Rockstar has remained silent across social media. The publisher has not posted its usual updates about GTA Online, Red Dead Redemption Online or its other games. For players following the next major open-world release, the planned Netflix presentation may therefore become the clearest official look at Grand Theft Auto 6 in the immediate future.
