Grand Theft Auto 6 has received a substantial new trailer, giving players another look at Rockstar’s highly anticipated open-world sequel ahead of its scheduled release on November 19.
Rockstar releases GTA 6 launch trailer without warning
On October 15, Rockstar Games dropped GTA 6’s launch trailer online without a prior announcement. The 90-second video is likely to appear on television and in cinemas as the publisher increases its marketing campaign for one of the biggest releases in gaming history.
The trailer adds new story details, action sequences and a closer look at the relationship between the game’s two central characters.

Jason’s path into crime becomes clearer
One of the most revealing moments focuses on Jason and the circumstances that pushed him towards criminal activity. He says, “I got in trouble in the army. Didn’t leave on the best of terms. They don’t give loans or anything to people like me.”
That explanation suggests Jason may see crime as a necessity rather than a choice, while also hinting that he could be searching for a way to escape that life.
Action, driving and an intimate relationship
As expected, the trailer includes gunfire, criminal activity and plenty of driving. Viewers also see Jason and Lucia sharing an intimate moment in the shower, making it clear that the pair are romantically involved and that their relationship will include on-screen sexual content.
The footage presents Jason and Lucia as a couple whose personal connection will be central to the story, rather than simply two characters joining forces for criminal schemes. The game’s driving focus may also appeal to fans who enjoy racing and driving simulators.
Justice, Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard feature on the soundtrack
The trailer introduces “Flower in a Hurricane”, a new song by electronic duo Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
Justice also composed the original score for GTA 6. Rockstar has confirmed that “Flower in a Hurricane” will be included on the game’s official soundtrack release.

GTA 6 release platforms
After years of rumours, delays and leaks, the wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 is nearing its end. The game is scheduled to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
Until then, the new trailer offers the clearest look yet at Jason and Lucia’s criminal partnership, the game’s action-heavy world and its distinctive soundtrack.
