Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is scheduled to arrive in autumn 2026, and a new announcement may have narrowed down when fans can expect its debut.
The Dragon Ball franchise already has a busy year ahead. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 was revealed during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, while Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol was announced in January. The upcoming Beerus project will be the fourth animated interpretation of Beerus’ introduction.
Dragon Ball is returning to New York Comic Con
The official Dragon Ball website has confirmed that the franchise will return to New York Comic Con in October. The event has traditionally featured a prominent Dragon Ball booth near the entrance, with merchandise, displays and large character installations.
At the 2023 convention, visitors were greeted by a giant inflatable Orange Piccolo. This year’s display could have a different focus, particularly because the official announcement specifically mentions the new Dragon Ball Super: Beerus anime.
“The booth will be filled with tons of exhibits, featuring Dragon Ball games, figures, and even the new Dragon Ball Super: Beerus anime that’s premiering this fall,” the official news post says.
That wording does not confirm exactly what will be shown. The booth could feature new Beerus merchandise, production artwork, game content or another kind of promotional display. However, an anime receiving a presence at a major October convention would fit neatly with the project’s autumn release window.
Could NYCC coincide with the premiere?
There is a useful precedent. Dragon Ball Daima premiered in Japan on 11 October 2024, then received a dedicated New York Comic Con panel on 17 October—only six days later.
That panel included Goku voice actor Stephanie Nadolny, introduced Aaron Dismuke as the English voice of Glorio, and showcased new concept art by Akira Toriyama. The presentation concluded with a screening of the first episode.
If the same pattern is repeated, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus could receive a NYCC panel close to its premiere. Toei Animation has not announced a specific release date beyond the autumn 2026 window, so October remains a plausible possibility rather than a confirmed launch month.
What fans should watch for
New York Comic Con’s panel schedule has not yet been released, meaning there is no confirmed Dragon Ball presentation at this stage. A dedicated panel would be an obvious place for a trailer, production details or a first-episode screening, but the convention appearance alone does not guarantee any particular reveal.
Even without a panel, the booth should offer a useful look at how Toei and its partners are positioning the new anime. A large Beerus installation would also be a fitting choice for the convention’s headline character display.
